Siri and Local Seo

So the first chat I get when I returned to the office from being sick was “Siri is the end to Local SEO!”. So of course I searched Google to see what this individual was talking about. And came across this link entrepreneur.com I felt it deserved a read since Andrew Shotland +1 it. So after reading the article I could not agree more.

Siri could be the end of Local SEO as we know it today and most definitely the elimination of the $199 cookie cutter Local SEO packages that have recently flooded small businesses across the nation. But for the truly innovative, technically advanced Online Marketing firms this is just another opened door for opportunity. The way I see it is; Siri will always rely on Google for data one way or the other.

So the question is, how will the data populate for the Siri requests from consumers. The answer is through mobile websites that are micro formatted and have local on-site optimization that is directed towards mobile users as well as geo-targeting. OK., that was a mouth full and great. But who can do it? And that my friend is the question that is going to separate the innovators from the clones.

I know of a few companies that have already started there research and development on these theories and concepts and of course Local SEO Sites is on the top of my list. The Local SEO Sites team is well educated and diversified in this new vertical to Local SEO. The team has also prepared for the launch of Google’s new Android in 2012 that offers the first Siri competitor Google X. So what does all this mean for small businesses across the country. This means that Local SEO services by qualified individuals or firms is more valuable than ever. And if your small business has not started a local online marketing campaign thus far due to budgets or other reasons, its only going to get more expensive as time goes on. So the old saying “pay today to save tomorrow” could not be more of a reality for a small business owner in today’s market.
